    Partners

    Hi Tom,

We're at the point of trying to overcome a learning curve with the software on some non-standard type answers.  Out-of-the-box is spectacular (we're prior NSurvey users) but, of course, we want to try to do things better with Feedback Server.

Here are some things we're trying to accomplish and hope you can give us some direction:

    1) "Unscrample" answers - blanks for each letter, circle on one blank for each answer, then a 'master' unscrambled word(see below for description)

    2) Page that shows correct answer - looks same as question page but red 'X' next to the incorrect answer with some description of the correct answer.

Are we overthinking these items and you we can do them easily?  Or, do you have partners that provide customization or servey set-up services for more complicated types of surveys?  Your partners link (http://www.dataillusion.com/partners.aspx) isn't working.

    Thanks,Paul

PS - unscramble description -  Five sets of jumbled letters.  Entrant needs to unscrample them.  Ideally we'd be able to make every blank a single character for two reasons.  First, it may be mulitiple words and we need to show the word break, sencond is that one of the characters needs to have a circle.  The last question is to unscrample the circled letters from all of the answers.   Ex.  "EEDACKFVEBRSER" _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _    _ _(_)_ _ _

     Hi,

    1) By unscrample do you mean that the _ _ _ _ _ in your example would be textboxes and then upon submission it would check if the "total" of the checkboxes matches the scrambled name ?

    2) If these answers are field you could create a new answer item and in the GetPostedAnswerData() where you can throw an error you could add a new web control to your answer item that shows maybe an image and some text. Note that this web control must be declared as a class level variable that you can access from all methods. Ideally you would directly add it in the createchildcontrols method with visible to false and then set it visible if there is an error.
