Feedback Survey on one node SQL db on another - Possible?

    Hi

I am trying to setup the feedback survey on one node and SQL DB on another node, just a few questions:

     a) Is this possible?

    b) When running fs_install the SQL username and password would I need to create this in SQL or would it be automatically created, also if I use an existing username and password e.g. sa would it use this as it username and password? potentially having admin access to the whole of SQL 2005?

     Thanks

    Mandeep

    Hi Mandeep,

if you want to run FS on one box and run SQL on another its not a problem. If you are using SQL authentication you need to create the user manually in your SQL  Server installation and then create a blank FeedbackServer database in your SQL Server and grant the user you have created DBO rights to the FeedbackServer database. You dont need to give full admin access to that user on your SQL Server.
